Setting up an OEM environment is very tricky and makes you exhausted in no time which did happen to me but I learned that if you follow the Oracle documentation line by line, it pays off really well. So I went through the prerequisites of setting up 12c from the Oracle documentation and I was able to complete the installation without much hassles. If you set out to install 12c in your environment, better first scan through the Oracle documentation.
